Compatibility test for couples

Answer 20 questions on money, home, family and the future. See where you agree.

Take the compatibility test

Answer for yourself. Your partner answers the same 20 from your link.

How to play

  1. Answer 20 questions about yourself. Many use a five-step scale, so "probably" and "absolutely" count as close.
  2. Send the link. It runs in the browser on both phones. Nobody needs an app or an account, and your partner opens the link straight from WhatsApp, iMessage or Instagram.
  3. Your partner answers the same questions. They can't see your answers first.
  4. See your match by topic. One overall score, a score for each topic, and the questions where you were furthest apart.

How the score works

Each question gives a share of agreement. On scale questions, the closer your answers, the higher the share: one step apart still counts for three quarters. On the other questions it is all or nothing. Big-ticket questions, like children, where to live and how you handle money, count double.

The topic scores average the questions in each topic, and the overall score averages everything. It is a conversation starter, not a verdict. A low topic score shows you where to talk, not a reason to worry.

Questions people ask

Is this a scientific test?

No. It measures how similar your answers are on everyday topics, which is a good way to start a talk. It doesn’t predict whether a relationship will last.

What does a low score mean?

It means you answered differently, often on one or two topics. Look at the questions where you were furthest apart and talk them through.

Can we take it more than once?

Yes. Each round deals 20 questions from a larger deck, so a second round asks different questions.

Do we both need the app?

No. Both of you take it in the browser, and nobody signs up.
